Romanica, school recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education and training centre for teachers, since 1998 offers courses to students of all ages and all nationalities, as well as a wide variety of free time activities.
The aim of our courses – organized according to the methods set out by the Council of Europe – is communication. Ours professors, specialized in the teaching of Italian as a foreign language, are flexible, knowledgeable and full of enthusiasm. Studying Italian with us will be a rich, profound and enjoyable experience!
Where to find us
Romanica is located in the historic center of Modena: a city of art, culinary excellence, super cars and bel canto. Its classrooms, in a building decorated with frescoes, are merely a point of departure to discover the rhythms of this unique, beautiful and liveable city. The walks under the arcades offer splendid attractions and experiences: the Romanesque Cathedral, the Ducal Palace, the Pavarotti-Freni Theater, the Ferrari Museum … unlike more well-known and crowded tourist cities, Modena offers the chance to hear Italian spoken on every corner.
Romanica gives the access to a library with interesting artistic and cultural publications and a collection of over 500 dvd. In addition the scool offers free WiFi, a refreshment area, and the continuous and friendly support of all the staff.

Our Italian language school in Modena
The particular flexibility of our teaching methodologies allows the students to develop communication skills extremely quickly. Aware of the richness and cultural variety of our area, we carefully organize a free time program, free of charge and parallel to language courses: seminars, visits to local product companies (Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena, Lambrusco, Parmigiano Reggiano), visits to cities of art (Parma, Bologna, Ferrara, Verona, Mantova), excursions (Galleria Ferrari, Casa Museo Pavarotti, the Cathedral, the Ducal Palace). The program offers the opportunity to experience Italian culture and practice the language for approximately 8 additional hours per week.
