Italian school in Florence – Tuscany’s LINGUAVIVA has been teaching Italian language and culture since 1976, with the purpose of encouraging students around the world to study the Italian language, know our culture, and experience living and studying in Italy.
During these years, LINGUAVIVA has grown and established itself as one of the most important organisations for spreading and teaching Italian in Italy and the rest of the world, by receiving many international awards for its high-quality courses.

The school is located in the historical centre of Florence, just a few steps from Santa Maria Novella station and the most important touristic and artistic attractions.

Our Italian school
The school is distributed on three floors, with 17 spacious and bright classrooms, equipped with Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Moreover, our school provides a garden for student’s leisure activities.
The main purpose of the school is offering an environment where every student can feel cared for from all the school staff. Our teaching standards are the result of a lot of experience in the field of education and very professional and motivated teachers. The aim of the school is letting students from every part of the world not only learn our language but also get to know our culture and have an experience that allows our students to grow up personally, intellectually and culturally.
Our courses
Linguaviva guarantees a high quality of teaching thanks to the competence of qualified teachers specialized in teaching the Italian language.
Teaching takes place through a communicative approach with the aim of stimulating students to speak Italian as soon as possible.
Students are provided with a strong grammatical and lexical basis for everyday use.
According to the entry level test, the level of knowledge of each student is identified. Consequently, contents and purposes of the courses are defined.
Beyond Italian groups and online courses, our school offers a wide choice of courses that combine language with arts, cooking and culture.
Over 30 years, Linguaviva has organized prep courses for the admission exams for Italian academic institutions, universities, academies of fine arts and conservatories.
For over 20 years, the school has offered summer programmes for Juniors, both in Florence and Lignano, where language can be combined with sports and cultural activities.
Our 50+ courses have increased in demand.
In addition to lessons, school offers students a rich programme of social and cultural activities, to discover the rich artistic heritage of Florence.
